Top 5 Manga of 2017

For this list, I'll be using manga I started reading in 2017 and are either complete or have steady ongoing releases.
1. Dr. Stone
2. If You're Gonna Dress Up, Do It Like This
3. +C: Sword and Cornett
4. Black Clover
5. Golem Hearts
Runner up: Route End
Dr. Stone started out strong, and has kept getting better, both in terms of art and in characters. The introduction of Chrome and the others added a lot to the story, and very pleased that the focus has been on Senku instead of Taiju - Taiju is an alright character, but he's the standard hot-blooded shounen type, so a snarky scientist like Senku getting the spotlight is a refreshing change. Now that the most recent arc has wrapped up, I'm curious to see where the manga goes from here.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started If You're Gonna Dress Up, since it's about men's fashion and how to incorporate it into daily life, but I've learned a lot and the characters are fun and relatable. The fashion trends information is slightly out of date since the early chapters are a few years old, but the basic tips and tricks are still relevant and useful.
+C is complete, and I haven't finished reading it, but I've enjoyed what I have read. I don't have much to say about it other than it's an interesting fantasy story with good characters, and I look forward to finishing it next year.
I picked up Black Clover after dropping the anime (and boy am I glad I did!). It's pretty standard shounen stuff, but the characters are fun and it has some interesting worldbuilding concepts. Asta is much easier to tolerate in manga form, too. I'm still a ways behind on the manga, but I'll catch up eventually and do a proper post then.
Golem Hearts is the more recent manga on this list, only having 8 chapters out as of this post. I was hesitant to put it on the last, since it's even more typically shounen than Black Clover and hasn't been doing well in Shounen Jump's ratings, but I didn't really have any other series I could replace it with. The golems are an interesting bit of worldbuilding and I hope it either continues or gets a decent ending if it gets cancelled.
Route End would have replaced Golem Hearts for the last spot, but the scanlation releases have been uneven and no new chapters have come out since October.
