I'm really surprised how into this pairing I am - I started out as 'oh, this is cute', but once Haru called Makoto "Mako-chan" I was totally 'I SHIP THIS SO HARD'.

The only thing I'm worried about is that I haven't maxed either of their social links (and probably won't max Haru's at this point), so I'm not sure how to handle post-game fics or specific details about the characters.

P5 is good, but I like the story and characters of P4 better. When do you think you'll pick up the game?

I'm nearly done with college for the year, so probably in a couple weeks I'll have enough free time to dedicate to it (because I sunk so, so many hours into P4 and I know I'll do the same here).
I've heard mixed reviews of it, but I've never met two Persona fans that've had the same opinion about things, so I'll see for myself I guess, heh! I'm sure I'll enjoy it anyway :)

I'm somewhere around 80 into P5 and I'm in late November, while I beat P4: Golden in 70-something hours (I'm on early mode for P5 and was for P4, and I know I missed a bunch of content for P4 since I didn't max out my social links), so the games are definitely a timesink.

A lot of the big gaming sites are calling P5 the best rpg ever, but I think I'll always like P4: Golden more - possibly because it was the game that introduced me to the Persona franchise.

I don't even remember how much time I sunk into P4 (I had the PS2 version) but I did the same, missed out a great deal of the max links. I think a lot of it got lost in me grinding. I want to go back to it, and maybe get a hold of P4G, but it's finding the time.

I get you. P4 has a lot of very likeable characters, too, which probably helps.
I guess I'll see! I'm advised I'll probably be very fond of the protaganist from people who know my fav character tropes, hah.
